Selling a home is about more than presentation. It is about allowing prospective buyers to see the property at its very best — and to imagine themselves living there.

MacLeod Atelier offers a considered home staging service for homeowners preparing to bring their property to market, as well as those looking to reposition a home that has struggled to attract the right attention.

Our role is to look beyond how the property is currently lived in and consider how it will be experienced by a prospective buyer — from the moment they arrive, through the photography and online listing, to the viewing itself.

The aim is not to remove its character, but to allow the architecture, proportions and potential of the home to be seen more clearly.

    See with fresh eyes

    We review the existing interiors objectively, identifying what should be retained, edited or reconsidered. This may include decluttering, entrance and kerb appeal, and the details a buyer is likely to notice first.

    Improve flow and proportion

    Furniture placement and spatial planning are refined to improve flow, proportion and the way each room is experienced. Existing pieces may be repositioned to make better use of the space.

    Balance colour and light

    Targeted recommendations for colour, lighting, window treatments and minor decorative improvements help create a calmer, more cohesive backdrop — without unnecessary work.

    Add the finishing layer

    Existing furniture, artwork and accessories are carefully edited and rearranged, with selected artwork, soft furnishings, accessories or furniture sourced where they will strengthen the overall scheme.

    Present it for market

    The final presentation is resolved for professional photography and viewings, considering how each room will be seen both on camera and in person. Optional sourcing of selected furniture and finishing pieces is available where required.

A focused assessment for homeowners who would like professional direction before preparing their property for market.

We review the home room by room, identifying the changes most likely to strengthen its presentation and providing a clear set of recommendations to work through before photography and viewings.

This may cover furniture placement, editing, styling, colour, lighting, minor decorative improvements and presentation of key spaces.

Following the consultation, you will receive a written summary of our recommendations and priorities.

For clients who would prefer MacLeod Atelier to take a more hands-on role in preparing the property.

Following our initial assessment, we develop and implement a tailored staging plan, which may include editing and rearranging existing furniture, styling key rooms, sourcing finishing pieces and preparing the property for photography and viewings.

The scope is determined by the individual property, with larger homes and those requiring more extensive preparation quoted individually.

Where specialist services are required, these can be coordinated as part of the wider staging plan.
